What We Do

Based in Portsmouth, Storme Housing provides safe, stable and supportive accommodation for adults who may have experienced offending, homelessness, substance misuse and other barriers to successfully rebuilding their lives within the community.

We recognise that leaving custody or moving on from unstable accommodation can present significant challenges. Our aim is to provide residents with the stability, structure and practical support they need to make positive changes, reduce the risk of reoffending and work towards greater independence.

Through tailored support and individual support planning, we help residents address the factors that may have contributed to previous offending or instability. This can include support with maintaining accommodation, substance misuse and recovery, budgeting and finances, accessing employment, training and education, rebuilding positive relationships, developing independent living skills and engaging with Probation and other relevant services.

We work collaboratively with Probation, local authorities and other statutory and voluntary organisations to help residents maintain their accommodation, comply with relevant requirements and access the specialist services they need.

Our approach is person-centred, respectful and focused on progression. We provide residents with a stable environment in which they can take responsibility, develop confidence and build the skills needed to move towards independent living and successful reintegration into their local community.
